摘要：A communication device is arranged for three main communication states: a

detached state, an idle state, and an active state. The communication device connects tothe cellular communication network such that a transition from the detached state to anyof idle state or active state is made, performs scheduled operations in the active state oridle state, determines, when a transition from the active state to the idle state occurs, atime instant for a next operation in the active state, disconnects from the cellularcommunication network such that a transition to the detached state is made, and, whenthe time for next operation in the active state is approaching, connects to the cellularcommunication network again. A transceiver and a computer program are also disclosed.
