My Favorite Chinese Foods
Hi friend! My name is Li Ming and I am 9 years old. I live in Beijing, China with my mom, dad, and little sister Mei Mei. Beijing is the capital city of China and it's where I was born and raised. I love living in Beijing because we have the BEST food here! Chinese food is so yummy and there are tons of different kinds. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite Chinese dishes that I think you should definitely try if you ever visit China. Get ready because your mouth is going to be watering by the end of this!
First up is jiaozi, which are dumplings. These are little parcels made of dough wrapped around a delicious filling like pork and vegetables. My mom makes the BEST jiaozi for our family. She folds them into cute little bundles and they look like miniature treasure pouches! Jiaozi are boiled or fried and you dip them in a flavorful sauce like vinegar or soy sauce. They are shaped kind of like half moons. Eating jiaozi is fun because you can pick them up
with chopsticks or your fingers. Just be careful when you bite into them because the insides are piping hot! I always burn my tongue a little because I get too excited to eat them. Jiaozi are usually eaten around the Chinese New Year but we have them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner all year round.
Another one of my absolute favorite Chinese foods is Peking duck. This is a famous dish from Beijing where we live. The duck is roasted until the skin is perfectly crispy and the meat is tender and juicy. The chef at the restaurant will bring

My Favorite Chinese Foods
Hi! My name is Li Ming and I am 10 years old. I live in Beijing, the capital city of China. I love Chinese food! It is so yummy and there are so many different kinds. I want to tell you about some of my favorite Chinese dishes that you should definitely try if you visit China.
First, I have to tell you about dumplings! Dumplings (called jiaozi in Chinese) are little pouches made of dough wrapped around a filling. The fillings can be different kinds of meat and vegetables. My favorite is pork and cabbage dumplings. You pick
them up with chopsticks and dip them in a vinegar sauce before eating. They are so fun to eat and so delicious!
Another food I really love is noodles. There are lots of different noodle dishes in Chinese cooking. One of my favorites is called zhajiangmian. It has thick noodles mixed with a sauce made from fermented soybean paste. It also has pieces of pork and vegetables mixed in. The sauce is very flavorful and savory. Sometimes I also love a simple dish of noodles in broth, which is called lanzhou lamian.
Of course, I have to mention Peking duck! This is a famous Beijing dish. The duck is roasted until the skin is perfectly crispy. You wrap pieces of the crispy duck skin and meat in a little pancake with scallions, cucumber and sweet bean sauce. Each little bite is bursting with so many flavors and textures. Eating Peking duck is such a wonderful experience.
Dim sum is another favorite of mine. Dim sum refers to lots of different small dishes like dumplings, buns, and other snack-like foods. My favorite dim sum dish is char siu bao, which are fluffy steamed buns filled with sweet barbecued pork. I also love xiaolongbao, which are little soup dumplings filled with pork and a flavorful broth. When you bite into one, the hot broth spills out into your mouth. So fun!
Chinese food isn't just about the main dishes though. I also love all the snacks and desserts! One of my favorite snacks is jianbing, which is kind of like a crepe or fried dough with an egg cracked onto it. It also has crispy wonton crackers, scallions, and a sweet sauce inside. It's like eating breakfast for a snack!
For dessert, I absolutely love tanghulu, which is candied fruit on a skewer. My favorite is the candied strawberries. The strawberries are coated in a sweet, crispy sugar shell. It's such a fun way to eat fruit! Chinese desserts also use a lot of red bean paste and black sesame paste as fillings or toppings. The flavors are so unique and delicious.
There are so many other amazing Chinese dishes I could tell you about, like mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, wontons, hot pot, and more. I hope I've made you excited to try some authentic Chinese cuisine. The flavors, the ingredients, the cooking techniques - it's all so incredible. Chinese food is the best in the world in my opinion! If you ever visit China, I really want you to experience it for yourself. Let me know which dishes you liked the most. I can't wait for you to taste the awesomeness of Chinese food!

My Favorite Chinese Foods
Hi! My name is Li Ming and I'm 10 years old. I live in Beijing, China with my mom, dad, and little sister Mei Mei. I love so many things about China, but my very favorite thing is the food! The foods we eat are so yummy and there are so many different kinds. I want to tell you about some of my favorites so you can try them too if you visit China someday.
First, I have to tell you about dumplings! Dumplings are little pouches made of dough with a filling inside. The fillings can be different cooked meats and vegetables. My favorite dumplings have pork and cabbage inside. You can eat them boiled, steamed, or pan-fried. The pan-fried ones are extra crispy and delicious! Dumplings are a traditional food for holidays and special occasions in China. Every Chinese New Year, my whole family gets together and we make dumplings together. It's a lot of work but also really fun. My grandma is the best at making perfect dumplings.
Another food I really love is hot pot. Hot pot is a huge pot of boiling soup that sits on your table. You order different raw meats and vegetables, then you cook them right at your table by putting them in the hot pot broth. My favorite hot pot broth is a spicy one made with lots of red chili peppers and Sichuan
peppercorns. It makes my mouth tingle in a delicious way! I also really like dipping the cooked beef and mushrooms in sesame sauce. We always get hot pot when it's cold outside because the boiling broth keeps you so warm and cozy.
Bao zi are another must-try Chinese food. Bao zi are steamed buns with fillings inside, kind of like dumplings but bigger. The dough is so soft and fluffy. There are many yummy fillings like barbecue pork, vegetables, or even sweet fillings like custard. My dad always gets the pork belly bao zi and I try to steal bites when he's not looking! You can find bao zi at restaurants or from street vendors who carry the bamboo steamers around on a stick. It's such a tasty on-the-go snack. And you can't forget about noodles! There are so many different kinds of Chinese noodle dishes. My favorite is zha jiang mian, which are thick wheat noodles mixed with a savory sauce made of ground pork and fermented soybean paste. It's a little salty but soooo good, especially with cucumbers and bean sprouts on top. Another noodle dish I love is lan zhou la mian, which are chewy hand-pulled noodles in a rich beef broth. The la mian restaurants have these amazing noodle masters who stretch and twirl the dough into super long noodles right in front of you!
Finally, I have to tell you about Chinese desserts and sweets. My number one favorite is tang yuan, which are sticky rice balls in a sweet gingery soup. They are usually filled with black sesame or red bean paste. I like eating the soup when it's hot so the soft tang yuan melt in your mouth. Another yummy dessert is egg tarts, which are little tarts with a creamy egg custard filling. The best egg tarts have a flaky pastry outside. Sometimes I'll just get one from the bakery for an after-school snack.
There are still so many other dishes I want to tell you about, like Peking duck, scallion pancakes, mapo tofu, and more! Chinese food is so delicious with so many different flavors. I hope you can come visit China someday so I can take you to all my favorite restaurants and food stalls. You're going to love all the tasty foods we have here! Let me know if you have any other questions. Your friend, Li Ming

My Foreign Friend, You Have to Try Chinese Food!
Hi there my foreign friend! Let me tell you all about the awesome food from my country China. Chinese food is so yummy and you are really missing out if you haven't tried it yet. First up, let me tell you about dumplings. Dumplings are little parcels with a thin dough wrapping and a delicious filling inside. The fillings can be meat like pork or beef with some veggies. Or they can just be filled with yummy vegetables. My favorite kind of dumplings have a pork and cabbage filling. Mmm! You eat dumplings by dipping them in a mixture of soy sauce, vinegar and maybe some chili oil if you like it spicy. Dumplings are great as a snack or a meal.
Another famous Chinese food is noodles. There are so many different kinds of noodles! Thick ones, thin ones, long ones, short ones. My favorite are the chewy hand-pulled noodles. The chef stretches and stretches and stretches the dough to make the noodles really long before cooking them. You can have noodles in a soup broth, stir-fried with veggies and meat, or even cold with a dressing. No matter how you have them, noodles are so slurp-able and delicious.
Then we have rice dishes. Of course you know about fried rice, which is rice stir-fried with eggs, veggies and sometimes meat. But there are other tasty rice dishes too like clay pot rice,
where the rice is cooked in a special clay pot with ingredients like Chinese sausage, chicken and mushrooms. Or yang zhou fried rice which is mega flavorful from being fried with shrimp and ham. Rice is a staple food in China that goes with everything. I can't forget about dim sum! Dim sum is a bunch of small dishes like dumplings, buns, rice noodle rolls and many more bite-sized foods. It's usually eaten for breakfast or lunch. You order dim sum from carts being pushed around the restaurant. I love pointing at all the steaming bamboo baskets on the carts to get my favorite dishes like shumai, char siu bao, and egg tarts. Yum yum yum!
Peking duck is another iconic Chinese dish you have to try. The duck is crispy-skinned and hung up to roast. The chef slices the duck into pieces in front of you, and you eat it wrapped up in a thin pancake with cucumber, spring onions and sweet bean sauce. Every bite is crispy, juicy and full of delicious duck flavor. Chinese food has so many other offerings too like hotpot, where you cook your own meats and veggies in a simmering soup at your table. Or xiao long bao soup dumplings with the most amazing pork broth inside the dumpling pouch that squirts into your mouth when you bite it. And mouth-numbing Sichuan dishes that make your lips tingle from the Sichuan peppercorns.
No matter if it's noodles, rice, dumplings or other dishes, Chinese food has such amazing flavors from ingredients like soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, chili peppers and so much more. The cooking methods are wonderful too, with stir-frying, steaming, baking and other techniques to bring out the best in the ingredients.
My friend, you absolutely must make your way to a Chinese restaurant soon to experience these tasty foods for yourself. Your taste buds will be doing a happy dance, I promise! Let me know when you do try it, and tell me all about your favorite dishes. You're going to love Chinese food so much. I can't wait for you to taste it! Your friend, [Your Name]

My Favorite Chinese Foods
Hi friends! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I live in Beijing, which is the capital city of China. Today I want to tell you all about some of my favorite Chinese foods. The food in
China is so yummy and there are many dishes I think you will love too!
Let me start with dumplings. Dumplings are little pouches made of dough that have tasty fillings inside like pork,
vegetables, or seafood. My favorite kind are xiaolongbao, which are soup dumplings from Shanghai. The soup is actually inside the dumpling! When you bite into it, the hot broth bursts out. It's fun to slurp it up. Dumplings are usually eaten for breakfast or as a snack.
Another popular dish is noodles. There are so many different noodle dishes in China like lanzhou lamian, dao xiao mian, and zhajiangmian. The noodles can be made from wheat, rice, or even sweet potato starch. They come in long strands or short wonton shapes. The sauces and toppings make each one taste unique - some are spicy, some are savory, and some are sweet. I especially love the noodles with beef and tomato sauce. Speaking of beef, one of China's most famous dishes is Peking duck. The duck is roasted until the skin is perfectly crispy. The chef carefully slices the skin to put into a little pancake with scallions, cucumbers, and hoisin sauce. It's so fun to roll up and eat! Peking duck comes from Beijing where I live. Whenever my family has guests, we always take them for Peking duck.
Then there are different types of rice dishes, like yangzhou fried rice, hot and sour rice, and claypot rice. Steamed rice is a staple food that goes with almost every Chinese meal. My grandma makes the best claypot rice by cooking it slowly in a little clay pot until the rice gets crispy on the bottom. She puts Chinese sausage, chicken, and mushrooms inside too. So comforting!
For vegetables, a classic is buddha's delight, which is a dish of fresh sautéed veggies like baby corn, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and more. It's vegetarian and loaded with different flavors and textures. But my absolute favorite veggie dish is mapo tofu - soft tofu cubes cooked in a delicious spicy sauce with minced pork or beef. Whenever I'm not feeling well, my mom makes me mapo tofu to make me feel better. If you have a sweet tooth like me, you'll love Chinese desserts! I'm obsessed with tanghulu, which are Chinese candied haws - little pieces of hawthorn fruit coated in crystallized sugar. They're crunchy, sweet, and a little tart. Mango pudding and baked egg tarts are other popular sweets. For special occasions, we have dessert soups made from lotus seeds, red beans, or crushed nuts.
One more tasty food I want to mention is Chinese barbecue, especially the kind from Xinjiang province in the northwest of China. Kebabs of marinated chicken, beef, lamb, and vegetables are grilled over smoldering wood chips until they get a delicious smoky flavor. They're usually served with piles of freshly baked naan bread. My dad loves to take us to Xinjiang-style barbecue places on summer nights.
There are so many other amazing dishes in Chinese cuisine, like hot pots, wontons, dim sum, and regional street foods. I can't wait for you to visit China so I can take you to my favorite restaurants and food stalls! You'll get to experience the tastes, smells, and flavors from China's diverse provinces and cultures. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it all. Okay, time for me to go eat dinner now. Thanks for reading and bon appétit!

My Favorite Chinese Foods
Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I was born in Beijing but my family is from Sichuan Province originally. I love Chinese food sooooo much! There are so many yummy dishes that I want to tell you about. Get ready because I'm going to describe lots of my favorites!
First up, dumplings! Dumplings are little pouches made of dough wrapped around a filling like pork and vegetables. My mom makes the best pork and cabbage dumplings. She folds them into neat little parcels and I help by crimping the edges with a fork. Then we boil or fry them. The outside gets chewy and the inside is hot and juicy. We dip them in a mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil. Mmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about them!
Another food I really like is noodles. Chinese noodles come in so many different shapes and can be made from wheat, rice, or even sweet potato starch. My dad's favorite is crossing the bridge noodles which are long and chewy. You slurp them up loudly - that's how you're supposed to eat them! I prefer wonton noodle soup with little meat dumplings floating in the broth. Sometimes my grandma makes hand-pulled noodles by stretching and swinging the dough through the air. It's mesmerizing to watch.
Of course, I can't forget about Peking duck! This is a famous Beijing dish where the duck is roasted until the skin gets crispy and lacquered. The meat is tender and juicy. We wrap the sliced duck in a little pancake with some cucumber and sauce. It's
heavenly! My uncle owns a Peking duck restaurant and he lets me eat as much as I want when we visit.
Chinese people love their rice too. We have it at almost every meal. Plain steamed rice is great, but my favorite is yangzhou fried rice studded with little pieces of ham, vegetables, and scrambled egg. So flavorful! Another popular dish is claypot rice where the rice gets a nice crispy layer on the bottom from being cooked in a little earthenware pot.
You can't talk about Chinese food without mentioning dim sum! Dim sum are all those little snacky dishes like shrimp dumplings, barbecue pork buns, egg tarts, and chicken feet that you eat for breakfast or lunch. My friends and I go crazy over custard buns - they're these clouds of sweet bread filled with eggy custard. We also love stocking up on dim sum dishes and having a huge feast at home.
I haven't even gotten to all the different noodles, rice dishes, soups, meat and vegetable stir-fries...the list goes on and on! Chinese food is so diverse because the country is huge with different provinces having their own signature dishes and flavors. Sichuan cuisine is famous for being really spicy with lots of chili peppers and peppercorns. Cantonese food from the southeast
has more mild and delicate flavors. I'm just scratching the surface here!
Hopefully, you can tell how much I adore Chinese cuisine. It's so comforting, flavorful, and there's always something new to try. All the dishes are steeped in centuries of tradition and culture too. Just thinking about slurping up a big bowl of noodles or popping a juicy dumpling in my mouth makes me smile. I'm getting seriously hungry writing this! Let me know if you ever want to go for Chinese food together - I'd be happy to take you to my favorite spots and order up a huge feast!
