1. Space travel has been possible for some time and some people believe that space tourism could be developed in the future. Do you think it is a positive or negative development
Space tourism is predicted to be conducted in the near future. However, whether it is a positive trend or not is still in debate.
On the one hand, travelling to extraterrestrial areas may benefit people in scientific aspects. Firstly, scientists can collect various valuable samples directly from other planets to serve their researches without waiting for explorations of astronomies. This facilitates their
experiments, which helps people go further in studying long-term theories about the universe and have more chances of being contact with creatures from out of the Earth. Besides, people who are not experts in astronomy fields can also take the advantages of space tourism. Spaceship voyages could offer people interesting journeys to enjoy the beauty of natural scenes as well as allows them to broaden their knowledge to the field that is rather monotonous taught at school. This would draw more attraction from the public to exploring and studying science.
Although the advantages of space tourism are remarkable, I am
convinced that there are likely positives that be hidden from people’s awareness. The primary negative can be considered is that such voyages to out of space would cost a huge amount of budget of governments or private sections. In fact, there are plenty of social problems need
measuring such as the poverty, the illiteracy… and it would be better if the budget were allocated to accommodate the underprivileged or improve people’s health rather than spent on luxurious journeys to the extraterrestrial spaces. The risks of being attacked by extraterrestrial residents could be also considered other negatives. The consciousness of the universe is still limited, which hinder travelers from the security. Creatures beyond the Earth may look on people as food or enemies, which apparently threaten their lives.
In conclusion, although the advantages of space tourism are justifiable, I still strongly hold the view that the negative aspects are more enormous; therefore people should focus their money to enhance the Earth and make it a better place.

2. Thanks to the development of air travel and telecommunication,
contacts between different parts of the world have developed quickly. To what extent do you think societies benefit from the increased contact and closer relationship with foreigners brought about by international business and tourism
It is sometimes argued that increased contact and closer
interrelationships between countries bring several benefits to a society and thank goes to air travel and telecommunication for this. Personally, I believe that there are also some negative effects of the above trend, as will now be explained.
There are some downsides to increased commerce and increased
relationships between nations in the world. The most significant of these disadvantages is that it can weaken national culture and traditions. The main reason is that people can easily adopt the aspects of strangers and more interesting lifestyles from foreign countries and usually neglect the traditional values. The second disadvantage is that in the face of imported goods and services, local producers, especially in a less developed country, fail to compete with foreign ones in their own domestic market, which leads to a number of bankruptcies, then holds back society from development.
There are some major points to make in favor of increased business and closer relationships worldwide. Firstly, it can drive the world's economy forward. Granted, big corporations can easily expand their branches in any corners of the world, thanks to increased business interaction, which can also create more employment opportunities, especially in a third-world country. Secondly, revenues from tourist activities can contribute to the economic growth. Undoubtedly, tourism jobs such as
photographers and tour guides can help increase income for the locals. Finally, the more we share habits, products and services, the better we understand each other, and this reduces prejudice against other nations.

In conclusion, I believe that the closer contact and increased commerce worldwide bring about both cons and pros and cheap air flights and mobile communication have accelerated that.
3. Many museums and historical sites are mainly visited tourists and not local people. Why is the case What can be done to attract local people
Tourists are generally drawn to museums and historical attractions when visiting new countries. However, records have shown local people’s low attendance at these sites. Some explanations will be put forward before solutions can be drawn to tackle this problem.
There are several reasons as to why tourists, instead of the local people, come to museums and historical places. First, these locations can
provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the traditions in the particular locality they are situated. As a result, such destinations are generally more appealing to the newcomers than to the locals, those without the need to familiarize themselves with the traditional values of the region. Moreover, because the layout of museums and historical houses is likely to remain unchanged through years, they can be visually unattractive to the local inhabitants, who may have been to these sites for at least once in their younger years.
Several measures can be prompted to promote locals’ attendance rate at buildings for historic relics and museums. The main solution is to change the public’s perception of such places as sites for only monotonous activities. Should civic events including weddings,
anniversaries and concerts be allowed to be held in these locations, they would attract substantial public attention to historical values. Another resolution is that historians and preservationists should be featured more frequently on the media, with their articles on the tremendous worth of museums and historical remains.
To conclude, historical areas and museums can be uninteresting for local citizens because they can be too familiar with the culture that these

places depict. To better this, there should be more media coverage on historical assets, and also more open-door policies to use such locations as spots for more public-oriented activities.
4. Air travel can only benefit the richest people in the world. The ordinary people can get no advantage with the development of air travel. To what extent do you agree or disagree
It is true that air travel is well known with luxurious trip. It becomes the most expensive tour because it uses plane which has modern technology and high speed. Some people assume that majority of people get no advantage from air travel. While there are some good reasons why this is the case, I believe that it only gives advantages for richest people.
Most of poor or middle economic level society almost never use air travel when they want to go somewhere. They prefer to use land or sea transportation to do their trip, such as bus, car, motorcycle, train, and car. The main reason they cannot enjoy air travel because the price of ticket is very expensive. It is totally different with other transportations’ price that are usually cheap. Although sometimes air plane companies offer discount, majority of people are still difficult to try. They have to save money for several months to buy plane ticket. Ticket promotion also has tight requirement and publishing, so only a few people know about discount or promotion information. That is why majority people do not get benefits from air travel.
On the other hand, air plane gives more advantages for richest people. It has good service, convenient seat, high technology machine, expensive fuel, and routine treatment. They proves that air travel is very expensive. People usually use a plane for long trip and business activity. Although it has a high price, I think it is comparable with service that is offered by companies. The most advantage from air travel is efficiency for time. Using plane makes the journey shorter than using land transportation.

Only ordinary people who has high salary who can use air travel, such as the President, Minister, and Businessman.
In conclusion, there are convincing arguments both for and against who can use air travel, but I believe that market segmentation for it is the richest people.
5. In some countries many young people choose to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages.
More and more young people are opting to take a year away from studies either travel and see the world or earn some extra cash by working in order to pay through their education. However, this trend is mostly seen amongst students of the developed countries such as Australia, America or the United Kingdom. Perhaps it is because of the open culture and having the freedom of choice.
On the other hand, in an Asian culture as seen in India or China, this is not the case. Social pressure imposed by the culture they live in, forbid this sort of freedom. Furthermore, parents take it upon themselves to educate their children so that the children are free of any financial burdens but to concentrate on their studies.
The advantages are firstly providing the individual with an opportunity to interact with the world and get to know various cultures through travel. They may not always have the best travel conditions especially when it comes to the under developed countries, however, it is the gaining of experience and knowledge of how different cultures live. Secondly, by taking time off to work makes the young individual
appreciate money and manage his/her finances better. Thirdly, the time spent either in travel or work, will make the individual self-sufficient, responsible or become respectable adults. The experience gained will take them through university and onto their adult life.

One of the disadvantages with travel are the dangers from the Islamic radical attacking tourists in popular tourist destinations, rage killings or even being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Exposure puts them at immense risk. Another disadvantage would be to give up on university studies because they might end up loving the travel life or not wanting to pursue further studies as a result of getting a taste of money early in their life.
