【教材依据】本节教学设计是新目标英语八年级下册Unit4 Why don't you talk to your parents?的第一课时(1a-1c)。

一、设计思路

1、指导思想。本单元的主题是人际交往和谈论问题及建议,围绕这一主题开展一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握提建议的一些句型,正确使用Why don't you句型来提出建议,以及用情态动词should/ could.来表示提建议的方法。主要围绕“谈论问题”和“给出建议”来展开课程学习。提高学生进行人际交往的能力,使学生有能力培养出良好的人际关系。本单元旨在创造一个轻松、愉快的学习、交流环境,通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用这些知识的能力。 本课是本单元中的第一课时,本课的中心话题是谈论同学们生活及学习中的问题和困难并给出合理的建议。 2、教学目标

知识与能力 A.学会向他人谈论问题。 B.能够给出合理的建议。 掌握下列单词和句型

1.Words:wrong, allow ,midnight 2.Structure:-What’s wrong? -I’m tired because...... - Why don't you......? 过程与方法

采用任务型教学法和交际教学法,让学生在课堂上充分发挥主体作用,认真进行口语练习,利用多种形式激发学生学习兴趣。比如:一个同学说出自己的问题,另然后让其他同学提出建议,以激发学生的兴趣,培养帮助别人的品质。 情感态度价值观

通过说出自己学习和生活中的问题和困难,让同学们学会释放压力,增加信心;

通过给别人提建议,培养学生团结互助的精神,增进同学之间的感情。 3、教学重、 难点

重点:1. Words:wrong, allow ,midnight

2. 句型: —What’s wrong? -I’m tired because......

难点: 1. Learn to talk about problems.

2. how to give advice politely. 二、教学准备

教学用具:PPT, 导学案,录音机 三、教学过程 StepI:Lead-in

1.Say to ss :My son had a fever last night .Ask ss :What Should I do ?Help ss answer:you should /you could/ you may... 2.Let Some Ss give some problems and Other Ss give advice. 3.Show a chart to ss ,let ss match it. Problems Advice have a fever see a dentist have a toothache take your temperature have a cold get up early are late for school see a doctor had a fight with my sister talk to her

(设计意图:从学生熟悉的话题入手,让他们有话可说,进而鼓励学生表达自己的想法,为后面学习做铺垫。) Step 2 Presentation

1.Let ss list some problems , eg:Lucy is too tired this morning.Anna has too many after-school classes.

2.Then let ss judge which are serious ,which are not serious

3.Look at 1a,make sure ss can understand the task,read these sentences, then finish the task.

4.choose some pairs to share their answers to the class. Step 3 Listening

Read the instructions to the Ss.

Play the recording for the first time,this time Ss only listen. Play the recording for the second time,let Ss finish 1b. Check the answers .

Play the recording for the third time,let Ss repeat the sentences .(学生可以翻看听力材料) Finish the conversations:

A:You look tired B:I studied until midnight last night so I didn’t get enough sleep. A: go to sleep earlier tonight? B:But I have two after-school classes today.

A:Maybe you ell your parents you can’t do so many things . B:I did. But they disagree.

A:I think you talk to them again. B:Good idea.thank you. A: Step 4 Practice Present the structure:

Structure:-What’s wrong? (with you)/ What’s the matter (with you)? -I’m tired because...... Why don't you......?/why not..... Let Ss think of other expressions: How to ask person’s problems.

What’s wrong? (with you)/ What’s the matter (with you)? What’s up ? /What happened?

How to give advice: What’s wrong?

-I’m tired because...... - Why don't you......?

Let Ss work in pairs to practice the structure,then choose pairs to act out their conversations Step 5拓展

Give Ss some different problems. Let Ss work in pairs to practice the conversations using Structure.

设计意图:这个拓展练习旨在让学生了解更多的生活中出现的问题,以及如何给出合理的建议。进一步巩固目标语言:You should/ could /can/may/had better/ Why don't you......?/why not..... Step6 总结归纳

本课是本单元中的第一课时,围绕这一主题开展一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握提建议的一些句型,正确使用Why don't you句型来提出建议,以及用情态动词should/ could.来表示提建议的方法。 通过课堂教学活动,发现学生对这一单元话题较感兴趣,由于在第一单元学习了用You should来提建议,因此对新句型Why don't you......?/why not....的呈现比较容易。然后我又启迪学生列出另外的几种提建议的方法:You should/ could /can/may/had better,学生练习的比较充分。但是不会发散思维,只局限于用课本上出现的句子,另外Pairwork时间稍显短。
