The circuit 152 is operated synchronizing with the error detection circuit 52 byan error correction code to perform error correction. Then, nearly simultaneously withthe completion of the detection of an error position and numeric value, the verification ofan error correction result is completed at the circuit 152. Thereby, it is possible toshorten processing time without increasing the quantity of hardware.
