At least two fundamental factors could contribute to this phenomenon. What is shown in the column chart above indicates that dramatic changes have taken place in the market share of certain brands in domestic car markets from 2008 to 2009. There are at least two fundamental causes accounting for these changes. Since 1990, China has witnessed a great change in the ownership of houses.
