一、课程的性质和目的
本课程是电类专业本科生电气工程及其自动化和农业电气化与自动化的专业基础课程 。其目的是利用引进的外文原版教材开展一些专业主干课程内容的双语教学,不但要提高学生利用外语从事专业学习的能力,而且更重要的是实现了教材的多样化,中、外文教材的优、缺点能够互补,我们在教学中能够更快、更直接地向学生介绍本学科的最新发展及前沿信息。
本课程的先修课程为《电路》,《电机学》及《电力系统稳态分析》等。 二、课程教学内容
Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION (6 credit hours)

Chapter 2 POWER TRANSFORMERS (11 credit hours)
The Equivalent Circuit; Efficiency and Voltage Regulation; The Autotransformer; Transformers for Three-Phase Circuits
Chapter 3 THREE-PHASE SYNCHRONOUS MACHINES (10 credit hours) Construction Features; Power; Parallel Operation of Synchronous Generators Chapter 4 TRANSMISSION LINE PARAMETERS (10 credit hours) Introduction; Line Parameters; Transmission Line Equivalent Circuits Chapter 5 ANALYSIS OF POWER FLOW ON TRANSMISSION NETWORKS (11 credit hours)
Power Flow Equations; Solution Strategy for the Power Flow Equations; Methods of Solution; Power Flow Control
Chapter 9 BALANCED AND UNBALANCED FAULT ANALYSIS (6 credit hours)
Introduction: faults; The Unbalanced Fault Analysis; Protection for Electric Power System Components 三、课程教学的基本要求
1. 要求学生能熟练阅读并正确理解教材“ Electric Power Systems” 中所选讲部分的内容
2. 掌握电力系统的基本构成及运作方式;变压器等值电路,主要性能参数及三相运行;同步发电机类型与结构特点,功的计算及其并联运行;传输线等值电路及基本计算;潮流问题的本质,算法特点及潮流控制;电力系统故障及电力系统继电保护的基本概念。 四、建议教材与教学参考书
