摘要：Polyolefin articles of improved dyeaffinity are obtained by addition of an esterof an oxyacid of phosphorus or sulphur followed by treatment with an amine which reactswith the ester to form a quaternary ammonium salt. The polyolefin may be derived fromethylene and/or propylene (e.g. isotactic polypropylene), and the specified esters arephosphates, phosphonates, phosphinates, sulphonates and sulphates, in particularmethyl bis(p-methoxycarbonyl phenyl) phosphate, methyl toluenep-sulphonate,dimethyl naphthalene 1,5-disulphonate, cetyl methyl sulphate and methyl diphenylphosphinate. The amines disclosed are trioctylamine, trinonylamine, tridecylamine andcetyldimethylamine. The products may be formed into film, fibre and filaments (whichmay be drawn), and may be dyed with acid or disperse dyestuffs. Applications specifiedare carpets, blankets, garments, furs, velvets, furnishing fabrics, knitted articles and non-woven fabrics. Specification 810,023 is referred to.
