Description
Clare’s Molded DYAD® dry reed switches are ideally suitedfor small switching signal applications. This switch hassputtered ruthenium contacts and an extraordinary sealstrength, achieved by a patented laser sealing of the glass.In low level or dry switching environments, both switchestypically provide >1 billion operations. The switches havehermetically sealed contacts and offer a wide range ofavailable magnetic sensitivities. In addition, the moldingprocess provides a solid plastic outer shell. This plasticshell provides superior mechanical strength, eliminatesconcerns over handling glass switches, and provides anideal solution for high speed, automated assemblyenvironments.\"

Standard Test Coil
The magnetic force (expressed in NI, AT or Ampere Turns) required to cause the reed switch contacts toclose is called the pull-in or operate value.
