这是《茉莉花》，是江苏民歌，这是众所周知的，但现在的主流观点是《茉莉花》起源于扬州。据近年来媒体报导，《茉莉花》原名《鲜花调》，本来有三段歌词，依次歌唱茉莉花、金银花和玫瑰花。1942年，音乐家何仿到隶属江苏省扬州市的仪征市六合金牛山地区采风，从当地一位知名的民间艺人那里，采集到了这首在当地广为传唱的民歌，将她的曲调及歌词一一记录了下来。1957年，他将原曲原词作了改编，三段歌词都用同一曲调，由原来歌唱三种花改成集中歌唱茉莉花，并以悠扬婉转的拖腔作结束，遂成为现在大家所熟悉的这个样子。该曲当年由前线歌舞团演唱，后由中国唱片社出了唱片，于是得到进一步的流传。
